New Release Cozy Mysteries I Read in October, November, and December 2025

Great mystery filled with twists and turns that will make you think everyone did it. The method of death is interesting. Flossie and Fancy have find a lot of clues to help this investigation. This takes place in Fall around Halloween (ending of the book) which gives it a spooky and atmospheric vibe. There is a sad animal story at the sanctuary that has a happy outcome. Lots of time on the farm and sleuthing. There is a lot with Georgie and Callum’s relationship which may be off-putting to some. I’m amazed in all that the author packs in this book. The author also has a wonderful acknowledgement to readers and everyone in the book community who helps to spread the word about cozy mysteries.

Just when I think this series can’t get any better it does. This book is filled with mystery, shocks, surprises, and a lot of Christmas cheer! This series is over the top Christmas in the best way! I guarantee you will love it and it will get you into the Christmas spirit! Also, a book 7 in the series in confirmed! Yay! I highly recommend this series!

This book takes place in late October and early November but they don’t talk about Halloween for seasonal readers. I enjoyed the mystery and Eddie was at his best in this one. There is one thing that was a little annoying in this story and it wasn’t Eddie’s Mrrrs (which are cute by the way). The reveal was exciting and took me by surprise as to what happens. I recommend.

I love how Emmy’s family, friends, and community all stick together and help each other out. It makes me want to live in this community. There are definitely Christmas and cold feels but nothing over the top. It was fun getting to learn more about the background of some of the community members. The dogs and cat are wonderful as usual. Although I did guess the killer correctly, this mystery was full of twists and turns and the reveal was exciting. This is my favorite book in the series. I recommend.

Mistletoe Murders

Emily is new in a small town and opened a year round Christmas shop. She has two cats and is well liked in the community so she seemingly has an idyllic life except she has an intriguing past that kept me coming back for more. Season 1 and Season 2 end with a cliffhanger. It hasn’t been renewed for Season 3 by Hallmark yet so keep that in mind before watching. I personally think it’s worth a watch despite the Season 2 cliffhanger that we may never get answers for.

This is an original series on Hallmark+ which you can get on Hoopla BingePass (one credit for 7 days of unlimited watching). Each mystery is 2 episodes long and there are 12 episodes (6 mysteries). The mysteries are great and very cozy but with some suspense thrown in. Anyone that loves cozy mystery books and Christmas would love this series. I haven’t listened to the Audible Original audiobook series so I can’t speak for that if it’s the same or not.

Five Gold Rings

This mystery is sweet and heartwarming. Audrey’s grandmother passes away and leaves her with a her final mission. To find the owners of five gold rings she found before Christmas, a tradition that Audrey’s grandmother had over the years. With the help of a PI Finn, Audrey find the owners of each of the five gold rings and all of the heartwarming stories that come with it. This one is a Christmas mystery that is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.

Heidi take a new job as the town historian in New Hollow uprooting her kids and embarking on a new journey…and mystery. This is a wholesome mystery of historical proportions both in the town and in Mistletoe Manor. This mystery is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit and touch your heart.

For those looking for an international Christmas mystery this is for you! An archeologist and her ex husband that is a Norse expert go on a Christmas quest in Iceland to find hidden treasure. This one has some suspense and twists and turns in it making it great holiday fun with a meaningful lesson in it.
