Why I Read Cozy Mysteries

• I love finding clues and solving puzzles – like crossword puzzles and brain teaser puzzles
• There is a puzzle/murder/crime that gets solved by the end of the book
• A wrong gets righted/justice for the victim and those who care about them
• Small town or strong community feels
• Sweet, clean romance
• No sex scenes
• No graphic violence
• No swearing
• Single main character
• Older main character
• Animal Companions – Cat, Dog, Bird, Donkey (yes, donkey!), etc.
• Great side characters
• Crime solving teams like Charlotte’s Angels and Team Cheese
• Learning about different occupations/hobbies
• Punny Titles
• Humor
• Short chapters with cliffhangers or hooks at the end – makes me feel accomplished
• Short books – makes me feel accomplished
• Series – I love to stay with the characters and community for a long period of time when I’m enjoying them
