Cozy Mystery Cat 
I love a good nontraditional cozy companion. Cats and dogs are great, but a donkey certainly makes for an interesting change!

I started loving and seeking out non-traditional animals in cozies ever since reading the Cozy Caper Book Group Mystery series by Maddie Day. Belle the Parrot is fantastic and the audiobooks make her come alive. I highly recommend the audiobooks if you haven’t listened to them yet. Let me know if there are non-traditional animals in cozy mysteries that you think I should check out.

Oh, I love that! That’s a series I’ve had hanging out on my TBR pile, too. Another nontraditional animal book that jumps out to me: the Buttermilk Creek series by Mollie Cox Brian features cows.
